Three are in the same category. They have to do with extra cactus leaves in the lower area of the coin by the designers initials and 2008 date. These are more prevailant on the P mint than D mint. <br><br><br>The 1st and rarest error has 2 extra leaves and covers a part of the 2008 date. Pictured is one of three that I found in mint rolls. There are a few of these out there as I have followed some that were auctioned on ebay. The 2nd variety of this coin is a leaf that covers part of the designers initials. There are more of these than the 2 leaf variety above. Sorry no picture on this one. 3rd variety is a leaf under the cactus by the designer initials not covering the initials. This one is pictured. Notice </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">rough look </del>of the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">open areas closer to </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">rim of </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">coin</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">This area should be smooth. This coin definitely </del>was <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">not ready to be </del>struck<del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">. It may have had trouble </del>in the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">annealing process</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The doubling is very noticeable in </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">E PLURISBUS UNUM area </del>it <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">actually covers most of </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">reverse</del>.<del class="diffchange diffchange-inline"><br><br><br>NOTE: A new squeeze process was used </del>to <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">put </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">image on the planchets to prevent </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">doubled die effect</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The old method where the planchet was actually struck produced </del>doubling <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">by the planchet actually moving in </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">collar after </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">1st strike</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">On the 2nd strike the image was slightly off giving it </del>a <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">doubled look</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">I am not sure why or how </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">squeesing technique causes this doubling look</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">It could be due </del>to <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">the pressure </del>being <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">off or bleeding off during the process. However I have noticed on </del>a <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">number </del>of <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">States this doubling affect.<br><br><br>2006D Nebraska Statehood Quarter Polished Die Error<br><br><br>Here we have </del>part of the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">image not showing up </del>as well <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">throughout </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">coin</del>. The <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">dies are </del>polished <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">on </del>a <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">regular basis to keep them producing nice looking coins. Sometimes </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">dies are polished so much that part </del>of <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">the image starts to disappear</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Normally the dies are pulled before this happens. Due to a lot of coins being struck in a short period of time you are very likely to find some of these coins. This coin was found </del>in a <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Roll from the Mint</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Notice how part of </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">AMERICA is very light as well as the QUARTER and LI in LIBERTY area</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The reverse was also polished a lot </del>in the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">area of Chimney Rock</del>.<br><br><br><del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">2008 P Alaska Statehood Quarter Obverse Doubled Die<br><br><br>Doubled die on the obverse </del>in <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">the IN GOD WE TRUST area</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Sorry not a great picture to show this. This appears to be a die where </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">mint mark was probably almost polished off</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The L in LIBERTY </del>is <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">also light, however </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">rest of </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">coin is beautifully struck</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">I will get </del>this <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">one looked at </del>and <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">certified by ANACS</del>. This <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">will result in a report as to what happened to this coin during the </del>process <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">of it being made</del>.<br><br><br><del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">2008P South Carolina Reverse Doubled Die</del><br><br><br><del class="diffchange diffchange-inline"> This coin was </del>found in <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">a mint roll with </del>several <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">others</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The doubled die area is in </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Palmetto area and just above it </del>on the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">State Border outline</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Looking at the fields where there is no design we again see the roughness as we saw </del>in the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">New Jersey Quarter. We see this on both the obverse </del>and <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">the reverse. I have also observed several being sold on Ebay. Three are in the same category. They have to do with extra cactus leaves in the lower area of the coin by the designers initials and 2008 date. These are more prevailant on the P mint than D mint. <br><br><br>The 1st and rarest error has 2 extra leaves and covers a part of the 2008 date. Pictured is one of three that I found in mint rolls. There are a few of these out there as I have followed some that were auctioned on ebay. The 2nd <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">[http://www.broowaha.com/search/</del>variety <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">variety] </del>of this coin is a leaf that covers part of the designers initials. There are more of these than the 2 leaf variety above. Sorry no picture on this one. 3rd variety is a leaf under the cactus by the designer initials not covering the initials. This one is pictured. The coin appears that it was not ready for the strike. Maybe not heated enough. Notice the rough look of the open areas closer to the rim of the coin. This area should be smooth. This coin definitely was not ready to be struck. It may have had trouble in the annealing process. The doubling is very noticeable in the E PLURISBUS UNUM area it actually covers most of the reverse.<br><br><br>NOTE: A new squeeze process was used to put the image on the planchets to prevent the doubled die effect. The old method where the planchet was actually struck produced doubling by the planchet actually moving in the collar after the 1st strike. On the 2nd strike the image was slightly off giving it a doubled look. I am not sure why or how the squeesing technique causes this doubling look. It could be due to the pressure being off or bleeding off during the process. However I have noticed on a number of States this doubling affect.<br><br><br>2006D Nebraska Statehood Quarter Polished Die Error<br><br><br>Here we have part of the image not showing up as well throughout the coin. The dies are polished on a regular basis to keep them producing nice looking coins. Sometimes the dies are polished so much that part of the image starts to disappear. Normally the dies are pulled before this happens. Due to a lot of coins being struck in a short period of time you are very likely to find some of these coins. This coin was found in a Roll from the Mint. Notice how part of the AMERICA is very light as well as the QUARTER and LI in LIBERTY area. The reverse was also polished a lot in the area of Chimney Rock.<br><br><br>2008 P Alaska Statehood Quarter Obverse Doubled Die<br><br><br>Doubled die on the obverse in the IN GOD WE TRUST area. Sorry not a great picture to show this. Coin has doubling in the DOLLAR area also. Some time in the near future I will be getting a good camera that attaches to my computer, designed for <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">taking pictures of coins and other objects up close</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">I have done the best I could with my handheld camera</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">I have found several coins in the Mint Rolls with some doubling on the reverse in the THE GREAT LAND area</del>.<del class="diffchange diffchange-inline"><br><br><br>2008D Oklahoma D Fading D Mint Mark (Polished Die Error??)<br><br><br>This coin was </del>found in <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">a </del>Mint <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Roll. The L in LIBERTY is also light, however the rest of the </del>coin <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">is beautifully struck</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">I will get this one looked at and certified by ANACS</del>. This <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">will result in </del>a <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">report as to what happened to this coin during </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">process of it being made</del>.<del class="diffchange diffchange-inline"><br><br><br>2008P South Carolina Reverse Doubled Die<br><br><br> This coin was found </del>in <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">a mint roll with several others. Notice the rough look of the open areas closer to </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">rim </ins>of the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">coin</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">This area should be smooth. This coin definitely </ins>was <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">not ready </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">be struck. It may have had trouble in </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">annealing process</ins>. The <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">doubling is very noticeable in </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">E PLURISBUS UNUM area it </ins>actually <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">covers most of </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">reverse</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline"><br><br><br>NOTE: A new squeeze process was used to put </ins>the image <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">on the planchets to prevent the </ins>doubled <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">die effect</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The old method where the planchet was actually struck produced doubling by the planchet actually moving in the collar after the 1st strike</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">On the 2nd strike the image was slightly off giving it a doubled look</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">I am not sure why or how the squeesing technique causes this doubling look. Three are in the same category. They have to do with extra cactus leaves in the lower area of the coin by the designers initials and 2008 date. These are more prevailant on the P mint than D mint. <br><br><br>The 1st and rarest error has 2 extra leaves and covers a part of the 2008 date. Pictured is one of three that I found in mint rolls. There are a few of these out there as I have followed some that were auctioned on ebay. The 2nd variety of this coin is a leaf that covers part of the designers initials. There are more of these than the 2 leaf variety above. Sorry no picture on this one. 3rd variety is a leaf under the cactus by the designer initials not covering the initials. This one is pictured. I have several other varieties that include off center broadstrikes, die polishing and double struck.<br><br><br>1999P New Jersey Reverse Doubled Die<br><br><br>This Statehood Quarter was found while going through some of my pocket change. The coin appears that it was not ready for <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">the strike</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Maybe not heated enough</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Notice the rough look of the open areas closer to the rim of the coin. This area should </ins>be <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">smooth</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">This coin definitely was not ready to be struck. It may have had trouble in </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">annealing process</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The doubling is very noticeable in </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">E PLURISBUS UNUM area it actually covers most </ins>of the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">reverse</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline"><br><br><br>NOTE: A new squeeze process </ins>was <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">used </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">put </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">image on the planchets to prevent the doubled die effect</ins>. The <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">old method where the planchet was actually struck produced </ins>doubling <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">by the planchet actually moving </ins>in the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">collar after </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">1st strike</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">On the 2nd strike the image was slightly off giving it a </ins>doubled <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">look</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">I am not sure why or  [https://www.kynghidongduong</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">vn/tours/tour-du-lich-ha-noi-bac-kan-ho-ba-be-cao-bang-hang-pac-bo-thac-ban-gioc.html kynghidongduong.vn] how the </ins>squeesing technique causes this doubling look. It could be due to the pressure being off or bleeding off during the process. However I have noticed on a number of States this doubling affect.<br><br><br>2006D Nebraska Statehood Quarter Polished Die Error<br><br><br>Here we have part of the image not showing up as well throughout the coin. The dies are polished on a regular basis to keep them producing nice looking coins. Sometimes the dies are polished so much that part of the image starts to disappear. Normally the dies are pulled before this happens. Due to a lot of coins being struck in a short period of time you are very likely to find some of these coins. This coin was found in a Roll from the Mint. Notice how part of the AMERICA is very light as well as the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">QUARTER and LI in LIBERTY area</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The reverse was also polished a lot in the area of Chimney Rock</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline"><br><br><br>2008 P Alaska Statehood Quarter Obverse Doubled Die<br><br><br>Doubled die on the obverse in the IN GOD WE TRUST area</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Sorry not a great picture to show this. Coin has doubling in the DOLLAR area also. Some time in the near future I will </ins>be <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">getting a good camera that attaches to my computer, designed for taking pictures of coins and other objects up close</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">I have done the best I could with my handheld camera</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">I have found several coins </ins>in the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Mint Rolls with some doubling on the reverse in the THE GREAT LAND </ins>area.<br><br><br><ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">2008D Oklahoma D Fading D Mint Mark (Polished </ins>Die <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Error??)</ins><br><br><br><ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">This coin was found </ins>in <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">a Mint Roll. Notice how </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">D mint mark is barely visable. This appears to be </ins>a <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">die where </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">mint mark was probably almost polished off</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The L </ins>in <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">LIBERTY is also light, however </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">rest of the coin is beautifully struck. </ins>I will <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">get this one looked at and certified by ANACS. This will result in </ins>a <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">report as to what happened </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">this coin during the process </ins>of <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">it being made</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline"><br><br><br>2008P South Carolina Reverse Doubled Die<br><br><br> This coin was found in a mint roll </ins>with <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">several others</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The doubled die area is </ins>in the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Palmetto area and just above it </ins>on the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">State Border outline. Looking at the fields where there is no design we again see the roughness as we saw </ins>in the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">New Jersey Quarter. We see this on both the obverse and the reverse. Notice the rough look of the open areas closer to the rim of the coin</ins>. This <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">area should be smooth</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">This </ins>coin <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">definitely </ins>was not ready <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">to be struck. It may have had trouble in </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">annealing process</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The doubling is very noticeable in </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">E PLURISBUS UNUM area it actually covers most </ins>of the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">reverse</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline"><br><br><br>NOTE: A new squeeze process </ins>was <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">used </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">put </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">image on the planchets to prevent the doubled die effect</ins>. The <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">old method where the planchet was actually struck produced </ins>doubling <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">by the planchet actually moving </ins>in the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">collar after </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">1st strike</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">On the 2nd strike the image was slightly off giving it a </ins>doubled <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">look</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">I am not sure why or how </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">squeesing technique causes this </ins>doubling <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">look. It could be due to </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">pressure being off or bleeding off during </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">process</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">However I have noticed on </ins>a <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">number of States </ins>this doubling <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">affect</ins>.<br><ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline"><br><br>2006D Nebraska Statehood </ins>Quarter Polished Die Error<br><br><br>Here we have part of the image not showing up as well throughout the coin. The dies are polished on a regular basis to keep them producing nice looking coins. Sometimes the dies are polished so much that part of the image starts to disappear. Normally the dies are pulled before this happens. Due to a lot of coins being struck in a short period of time you are very likely to find some of these coins. This coin was found in a Roll from the Mint. Notice how part of the AMERICA is very light as well as the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">[http://www.business-opportunities.biz/search/?q=QUARTER </ins>QUARTER<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">] </ins>and  [https://www.kynghidongduong.vn/tours/tour-du-lich-ha-noi-bac-kan-ho-ba-be-cao-bang-hang-pac-bo-thac-ban-gioc.html kynghidongduong.vn] LI in <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">LIBERTY area. </ins>The reverse was also polished a lot in the area of Chimney Rock.<br><br><br>2008 P Alaska Statehood Quarter Obverse Doubled Die<br><br><br>Doubled die on the obverse in the IN GOD WE TRUST area. Sorry not a great picture to show this. Coin has doubling in the DOLLAR area also. Some time in the near future I will be getting a good camera that attaches to my computer, designed for taking pictures of coins and other objects up close. I have done the best I could with my handheld camera. I have found several coins in the Mint Rolls with some doubling on the reverse in the THE GREAT LAND area.<br><br><br>2008D Oklahoma D Fading D Mint Mark (Polished Die Error??)<br><br><br>This coin was found in a Mint Roll. Notice how the D mint mark is barely visable. This appears to be a die where the mint mark was probably almost polished off. The L in LIBERTY is also light, however the rest of the coin is <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">[http://data.gov.uk/data/search?q=beautifully%20struck </ins>beautifully struck<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">]</ins>. I will get this one looked at and certified by ANACS. This will result in a report as to what happened to this coin during the process of it being made.<br><br><br>2008P South Carolina Reverse Doubled Die<br><br><br> This coin was found in a mint roll with several others. The doubled die area is in the Palmetto area and just above it on the State Border outline. Looking at the fields where there is no design we again see the roughness as we saw in the New Jersey Quarter. We see this on both the obverse and the reverse. This planchet may not have been heated enough for the striking process.<br><br><br>2000P Maryland Statehood Quarter reverse doubled die<br><br><br>I have found several of these quarters in Mint Rolls. I have also observed several being sold on Ebay. The <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">coin appears that it was not ready for </ins>the strike. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Maybe not heated enough. Notice </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">rough look of </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">open areas closer to the rim of </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">coin</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">This area should </ins>be <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">smooth. This coin definitely was not ready </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">be struck</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">It may </ins>have <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">had trouble in the annealing process. The </ins>doubling <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">is very noticeable in the E PLURISBUS UNUM area it actually covers most of the reverse.</ins><br><br><br><ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">NOTE: A new squeeze process was used to put </ins>the image <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">on the planchets to prevent </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">doubled die effect</ins>. The <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">old method where the planchet was actually struck produced doubling by the planchet actually moving in </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">collar after </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">1st strike</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">On the 2nd strike </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">image was slightly off giving it </ins>a <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">doubled look</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">I am not sure why or how </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">squeesing technique causes this doubling look</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">It could be due to </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">pressure being off or bleeding off during </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">process</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">However I have noticed on </ins>a <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">number </ins>of <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">States this doubling affect</ins>.<br><br><br><ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">2006D Nebraska </ins>Statehood Quarter <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Polished </ins>Die <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Error</ins><br><br><br><ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Here we have part of </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">image not showing up as well throughout </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">coin</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The dies are polished on </ins>a <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">regular basis </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">keep them producing nice looking coins</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Sometimes the dies are polished so much that part of </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">image starts to disappear</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Normally </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">dies are pulled before this happens. This appears to be a die where </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">mint mark was probably almost polished off</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The L </ins>in <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">LIBERTY is also light, however </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">rest </ins>of <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">the coin is beautifully struck. </ins>I will <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">get this one looked at </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">certified by ANACS. This will result in a report as to what happened to this coin during the process </ins>of <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">it being made</ins>.<br><br><br><ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">2008P South Carolina Reverse Doubled Die</ins><br><br><br><ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline"> This coin was found in a mint roll with several others. The doubled die area is in the Palmetto area and just above it on the State Border outline. Looking at the fields where there is no design we again see the roughness as we saw in the New Jersey Quarter. We see this on both the obverse and the reverse. This planchet may not have been heated enough for the striking process.</ins><br><br><br><ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">2000P Maryland Statehood Quarter reverse doubled die</ins><br><br><br><ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">I have found several of these quarters in Mint Rolls. I have also observed several being sold on Ebay. Three are in the same category. They have to do with extra cactus leaves in the lower area of the coin by the designers initials and 2008 date. These are more prevailant on the P mint than D mint. <br><br><br>The 1st and rarest error has 2 extra leaves and covers a part of the 2008 date. Pictured is one of three that I found in mint rolls. There are a few of these out there as I have followed some that were auctioned on ebay. The 2nd variety of this coin is a leaf that covers part of the designers initials. There are more of these than the 2 leaf variety above. Sorry no picture on this one. 3rd variety is a leaf under the cactus by the designer initials not covering the initials. This one is pictured. I have several other varieties that include off center broadstrikes, die polishing and double struck.<br><br><br>1999P New Jersey Reverse Doubled Die<br><br><br>This Statehood Quarter was found while going through some of my pocket change. The coin appears that it was not ready for the strike. Maybe not heated enough. Notice the rough look of the open areas closer to the rim of the coin. This area should be smooth. This coin definitely was not ready to be struck. It may have had trouble in the annealing process. The doubling is very noticeable in the E PLURISBUS UNUM area it actually covers most of the reverse.<br><br><br>NOTE: A new squeeze process was used to put the image on the planchets to prevent the doubled die effect. Three are in the same category. They have to do with extra cactus leaves in the lower area </del>of the coin by the designers initials and 2008 date. These are more prevailant on the P mint than D mint. <br><br><br>The 1st and rarest error has 2 extra leaves and covers a part of the 2008 date. Pictured is one of three that I found in mint rolls. There are a few of these out there as I have followed some that were auctioned on ebay. The 2nd variety of this coin is a leaf that covers part of the designers initials. There are more of these than the 2 leaf <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">[http://www</del>.<del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">reddit.com/r/howto/search?q=variety variety] above. Sorry </del>no picture on this one. 3rd variety is a leaf under the cactus by the designer initials not covering the initials. This one is pictured. I have several other varieties that include off center broadstrikes, die polishing and double struck.<br><br><br>1999P New Jersey Reverse Doubled Die<br><br><br>This Statehood Quarter was found while going through some of my pocket change. The coin appears that it was not ready for the strike. Maybe not heated enough. Notice the rough look of the open areas closer to the rim of the coin. This area should be smooth. This coin definitely was not ready to be struck. It may have had trouble in the annealing process. The doubling is very noticeable in the E PLURISBUS UNUM area it actually covers most of the reverse.<br><br><br>NOTE: A new squeeze process was used to put the image on the planchets to prevent the doubled die effect. The old method where the planchet was actually struck produced doubling by the planchet actually moving in the collar after the 1st strike. On the 2nd strike the image was slightly off giving it a doubled look. I am not sure why or how the squeesing technique causes this doubling look. It could be due to the pressure being off or bleeding off during the process. However I have noticed on a number of States this doubling affect.<br><br><br>2006D Nebraska Statehood Quarter Polished Die Error<br><br><br>Here we have part of the image not showing up as well throughout the coin. The dies are polished on a regular basis to keep them producing nice looking coins. Sometimes the dies are polished so much that part of the image starts to disappear. Normally the dies are pulled before this happens. Due to a lot of coins being struck in a short period of time you are very likely to find some of these coins. This coin was found in a Roll from the Mint. Notice how part of the AMERICA is very light as well as the QUARTER and LI in LIBERTY area. The reverse was also polished a lot in the area of Chimney Rock.<br><br><br>2008 P Alaska Statehood Quarter Obverse Doubled Die<br><br><br>Doubled die on the obverse in the IN GOD WE TRUST area. Sorry not a great picture to show this. Coin has doubling in the DOLLAR area also. Some time in the near future I will be getting a good camera that attaches to my computer, designed for taking pictures of coins and other objects up close. I have done the best I could with my handheld camera. I have found several coins in the Mint Rolls with some doubling on the reverse in the THE GREAT LAND area.<br><br><br>2008D Oklahoma D Fading D Mint Mark (Polished Die Error??)<br><br><br>This coin was found in a Mint Roll. Notice how the D mint mark is barely visable. This appears to be a die where the mint mark was probably almost polished off. The L in LIBERTY is also light, however the rest of the coin is beautifully struck. I will get this one looked at and certified by ANACS. This will result in a report as to what happened to this coin during the process of it being made.<br><br><br>2008P South Carolina Reverse Doubled Die<br><br><br> This coin was found in a mint roll with several others. The doubled die area is in the Palmetto area and just above it on the State Border outline. Looking at the fields where there is no design we again see the roughness as we saw in the New Jersey Quarter. We see this on both the obverse and the reverse. This planchet may not have been heated enough for the striking process.<br><br><br>2000P Maryland <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Statehood Quarter reverse doubled die<br><br><br>I have found several of these quarters in Mint Rolls</del>. <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">I have also observed several being sold on Ebay. Normally the dies are pulled before this happens. Due to a lot of coins being struck in a short period of time you are very likely to find some of these coins. This coin was found in a Roll from the Mint. Notice how part of the AMERICA is very light as well as the QUARTER and LI in LIBERTY area. This will result in a report as to what happened to this coin during the process of it being made.<br><br><br>2008P South Carolina Reverse Doubled Die<br><br><br> This coin was found in a mint roll with several others. The doubled die area is in the Palmetto area and just above it on the State Border outline. Looking at the fields where there is no design we again see the roughness as we saw in the New Jersey Quarter. We see this on both the obverse and the reverse. This planchet may not have been heated enough for the striking process.<br><br><br>2000P Maryland Statehood Quarter reverse doubled die<br><br><br>I have found several of these quarters in Mint Rolls. I have also observed several being sold on Ebay. Three are in the same category. They have to do with extra cactus leaves in the lower area of </ins>the coin by the designers initials and 2008 date. These are more prevailant on the P mint than D mint. <br><br><br>The 1st and rarest error has 2 extra leaves and covers a part of the 2008 date. Pictured is one of three that I found in mint rolls. There are a few of these out there as I have followed some that were auctioned on ebay. The 2nd variety of this coin is a leaf that covers part of the designers initials. There are more of these than the 2 leaf <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">[http://www.reddit.com/r/howto/search?q=variety variety] above</ins>. Sorry no picture on this one. 3rd variety is a leaf under the cactus by the designer initials not covering the initials. This one is pictured. I have several other varieties that include off center broadstrikes, die polishing and double struck.<br><br><br>1999P New Jersey Reverse Doubled Die<br><br><br>This Statehood Quarter was found while going through some of my pocket change. The coin appears that it was not ready for the strike. Maybe not heated enough. Notice the rough look of the open areas closer to the rim of the coin. This area should be smooth. This coin definitely was not ready to be struck. It may have had trouble in the annealing process. The doubling is very noticeable in the E PLURISBUS UNUM area it actually covers most of the reverse.<br><br><br>NOTE: A new squeeze process was used to put the image on the planchets to prevent the doubled die effect. The old method where the planchet was actually struck produced doubling by the planchet actually moving in the collar after the 1st strike. On the 2nd strike the image was slightly off giving it a doubled look. I am not sure why or how the squeesing technique causes this doubling look. It could be due to the pressure being off or bleeding off during the process. However I have noticed on a number of States this doubling affect.<br><br><br>2006D Nebraska Statehood Quarter Polished Die Error<br><br><br>Here we have part of the image not showing up as well throughout the coin.
